St Moritz

St. Moritz is one of the most tradition-steeped holiday resorts around. Even its name is protected as a quality brand and all over the world is equated with style, elegance and class.

Here, at 1856 metres above sea level and in the middle of the fascinating Upper Engadine lake region, winter holidays and modern winter sports were invented and the Winter Olympics were held twice. The first electric light, the first ski school or the first electric tram in the country are other pioneering achievements that add to a long list of St. Moritz's achievements. Nevertheless: St. Moritz owes its importance originally to its medicinal springs, which have been known for over 3,000 years and are the origin of the St. Moritz spa and bathing tradition.
